I use Photoshelter for the exhibition of my photos. Simple, efficient and above all the easiest tool I have found to deliver photos. At the moment there are 3500+ photos in the galleries in high resolution ready for printing projects. Since I am located in Iceland my subject of photography is Iceland and it´s nature. I consider nature as a concept my subject since birds, landscape and wildlife in general is what is most often in front of my lenses. I have used Photoshelter for my gallery for more than a year by now. Looking back the work which went into collecting the galleries has been rewarding. Before PhotoShelter I was the typical photographer who had to search for my own photos upon requests from possible clients. Today this is not a problem, thanks to this simple but effective system.
I manage various websites and have a long experience with html, php and have spent weeks if not months coding. Re-inventing the wheel is a waste of time and should be avoided. That´s exactly what I am going to do in the future. That´s also why I take WordPress with open arms.
