Kvernufoss is a well hidden gem near the much more visited Skogarfoss waterfall. The plan was to go to Skogarfoss and hope for a good light. The plan changed when we arrived. The reason it is not as popular photo-location as Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss is probably because it takes some effort to walk there. Like Seljalandfoss it is possible to go behind the waterfall. There is a more cave-like feeling to be there. The cave is deep and with 14 mm lens it´s possible to get the roof of the cave and the ground in one shot.
We spent quite some time at the waterfall and well after midnight we headed for the car. Photographing the waterfall and the serenity of the location is special.
