Few days ago I saw this Mew Gull (Larus Canus) sitting on a rock along with another one. Since these birds are quite rare I shot few frames and noticed it was ringed. According to the ring it was ringed in Akureyri 1985 and is therefore 27 years old which makes it the oldest Mew Gull in Iceland. As to make this finding more photogenic it grabbed a small fish and posed for the camera. This is taken outside of a car window on Nikon D3, 500 f4 plus 1.4 converter.
